September 17, 2010: Thor Industries announced it’s acquisition of Heartland Recreational Vehicles, a privately held manufacturer of towable RVs based in Elkhart, Indiana.
Heartland RV was founded in 2003 and has since become the third largest manufacturer of fifth wheels and the sixth largest manufacturer of travel trailers in the United States, making it the fastest growing manufacturer in recent years.
Heartlands brands include Bighorn, Cyclone, North Country, North Trail and Sundance, which are sold through a nationwide network of dealers.
